Abacus Legend

The abacus is not an ancestor of the calculator. It is a way of thinking that lives in your hands. Abacus Legend puts a real 2:5 suanpan on your screen. Each bead above the beam counts five, each below counts one, and a bead pushed toward the beam is active. Tapping feels like the real thing: tap an active bead and it slides away together with everything between it and the beam; tap an inactive one and it comes in the same way. A rod may even read 15 for a moment, because that is exactly how a real abacus passes through a carry.
