Animatya is a frame-by-frame animation app for iPad and Apple Pencil. It is built for people who want to draw animation the traditional way: one drawing at a time, timed on an exposure sheet. DRAWING Native Apple Pencil support with pressure, tilt and palm rejection. 14 brush presets over pen, pencil, marker, airbrush, watercolor and crayon engines. Stroke smoothing and a hold-to-snap straight line. Lasso, eraser, saved color palette, eyedropper with a pixel loupe. The desk extends past the paper, so construction lines and perspective guides can live outside the frame. TIMING Each drawing has a hold: keep it on screen for 1 to 99 frames instead of copying it. Every layer has its own timing, so a character on twos can sit over a background held for the whole shot. Retime a selection or a layer: ones, twos, threes, time stretch, reverse, ping-pong, roll up and down. Layers can hold, loop…
