AntiqSnap: Antique Scanner

Photograph an old object and find out what it is, when it was made, where it came from and what it could be worth. Point your camera at a piece, or choose a photo from your library, and Oldmark reads it the way an auction catalogue specialist would. It looks at the marks first, then at how the piece was made, and only then names it. You see the evidence behind every answer, not just a guess. WHAT YOU LEARN ABOUT EVERY PIECE • Name, era, origin and materials • Maker, when a mark or signature supports it • Marks & signatures: hallmarks, maker's stamps, backstamps and signatures read from your photo • How it's made: what the construction, wear and finish say about its age • It could also be: other identifications that genuinely fit, and what tells them apart • A confidence level for every identification • Straight answers: if something is a modern or everyday piece, you are told so instead…
