Bake Along

Bake Along teaches a 7-to-10-year-old to bake something real — then gets out of the way while they do it. One step on the screen at a time, in words a child can read, with the number big enough to see from across the counter. No pretend cupcakes. No tapping a screen to "decorate" a cake that doesn't exist. At the end there is a tray of actual biscuits and a child who made them. A GROWN-UP DOES THE OVEN Every step is marked. Green steps are the child's. Amber steps are easier with four hands. Red steps — the oven, anything sharp, the stove — stop and wait for you, and your child cannot tap past them.
