About BassLab
BassLab takes a song from your own audio files, separates it into individual instrument tracks, and turns it into something you can practice bass against. Mute the bass and play its part yourself. Then record a take and find out how close you actually got. HOW IT WORKS 1. Add a song. Bring in an MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, OGG or M4A file you already have and choose which parts to pull out — bass, drums, guitar, piano or vocals. Each one comes back as its own track. The bass is always separated, because that is what your take gets scored against. 2. Mix it however helps. Every track has its own fader, pan and mute. Drop the bass out and carry the song yourself, or bring it back in quietly when you want something to follow. Your mix is saved with the song. 3. Get your take scored. Record while the song plays. BassLab compares what you played against the isolated bass stem and breaks the result…
