Car Ledger: Service Book

Your engine uses oil between changes. Car Ledger works out how much — liters per 1,000 km — and tells you when the next top-up is due. When that figure starts climbing, the app says so, and puts the old number next to the new one. Most service apps log an oil change and stop there. This one logs the top-ups in between, because that is where a tired engine shows its hand. Each time you add oil, you note the date, the mileage and the amount. From that the app calculates consumption, draws it as a chart, and compares the recent figure with the earlier one. A car that used half a liter per 1,000 km last spring and uses three quarters now is telling you something, and now you have the number to take to the garage.
