Chika - Japanese

Chika is an offline-first Japanese learning app designed for iPhone. Study and review curated daily vocabulary, check kana and meanings, play pronunciation audio using iOS speech synthesis, and record what you remember. On-device camera and photo OCR helps capture Japanese from books, notes, and everyday surroundings without uploading the image to Chika or an AI provider. Optional AI chat sends text and conversation context through Chika's Cloudflare Worker to OpenRouter and the selected downstream model provider. Chika explains this transfer and asks for consent before the first AI request. Cloudflare, OpenRouter, and downstream model providers are independent third parties. AI features are optional and subject to usage limits.
