Roll one die and keep it, or spend a Second Chance and roll a second — then pick which of the two you actually move. That one decision turns snakes and ladders from a game of pure luck into a game you can play well. SECOND CHANCE DIE Every board rations them: five on Garden Path, one on Serpent's Crown. Each costs 25 coins, and coins are also what unlock the next board — so spending to win the match in front of you costs progress toward the next one. The question is never which die. It is when.
