Draw Along: Sketch by Stages

Learn to draw by hand, with the reference on one side and your paper on the other. Pick a subject and Draw Along breaks it into four construction stages: block in the big shape, refine the outline, add the main forms, then the detail. The guides are faint and dashed on purpose. A guide you can see through is something you draw with; a solid line is something you trace. A slider takes the guide all the way down to nothing, so you can check your work against a blank page. ANY PHOTO BECOMES A LESSON The stages are worked out on your device, not drawn in advance, so your own photos work exactly like the built-in subjects. One clear subject against a plain background gives the best results. 435 SUBJECTS INCLUDED Botanical watercolours and illustrations from public-domain archive collections: apples, pears, peaches, plums, berries, citrus, orchids, rhododendrons and more.
