E Sherdlumina

Lift quiet bands of river soil and set each pottery sherd, tool, and building fragment back into the life it came from. Watch the color bands. A flood can slide a layer sideways, so depth and pattern must agree before two pieces are called the same age. Later places add lookalike vessels from different centuries and a small pouch of careful scoops. Hints stay gentle, and every scene can be finished by looking closely. A field guide, motif atlas, chronology ladder, site almanac, dig journal, scene gallery, practice bench, and word list keep the expedition rich between digs.
