EchoJot: tap the mic and start talking — the text appears as you speak, and you end up with a searchable note. No account. No subscription. No network permission at all — your voice never leaves this phone. GENUINELY OFFLINE DICTATION, TWO ENGINES Your phone's built-in on-device speech recognition writes text as you speak. Or use the Whisper model bundled inside the app — included at install, never downloaded — which transcribes after you stop and needs no system speech settings. Neither goes online; both work in airplane mode. NO RECORDING IS KEPT The system engine writes no audio at all.
