About Eggleton: Egg Timer & Focus
A timer you actually want to watch — and something to keep when it ends. Set a duration and an egg starts to warm. As the minutes pass the shell cracks, one crack at a time, so you can see how much time is left without reading a number. Near the end a beak breaks through. At zero the shell gives way and an animal steps out — and that animal is yours to keep. There are 84 of them, from a chick and a duckling to a dragon, a seaserpent, and a phoenix. Longer timers have better odds of something rare, so a 5-minute tea steep and a 2-hour deep work block feel genuinely different. WHY IT WORKS Most timers ask you to interpret a shrinking bar or a running number. Eggleton gives you countable cracks — a glance tells you "three left" instead of "somewhere past halfway." It is the same information, in the form your eye reads fastest. And it gives you a reason to let the timer finish. Cancel at…
