EMERGENCE: Mathematical Worlds

Everything has a pattern. Everything has a frequency. Everything is connected. EMERGENCE is an interactive exploration of mathematics, patterns, sound and visual emergence. Enter a collection of mathematical worlds where simple rules create unexpectedly rich behaviour. Explore, experiment and discover connections between mathematics, geometry, sound and natural systems. FIBONACCI Explore Fibonacci numbers and the golden ratio through evolving geometry, spirals, colour and sound. Interact with the patterns and hear mathematics become music. CONWAY'S LIFE Watch simple cellular rules generate complex, evolving structures. Explore one of the most famous examples of emergence in mathematics and computer science. π Journey through the digits of pi as they become visual patterns and generative sound. Numbers become movement, rhythm and form. FRACTALS Explore Mandelbrot, Julia, Burning Ship and…
