Fieldline

Fieldline is a depth-of-field studio for people who need the near and far limits before they commit to a stop. Build an envelope for the photograph you are about to make. Enter the sensor, the focal length, the aperture, and the focus distance. Add the near and far edges of the subject when the picture has to hold a span, or add a background distance when the picture has to separate the subject. Fieldline calculates the hyperfocal distance, the near and far limits, the split of depth in front of and behind the focus plane, the Airy disk against your circle of confusion, and the blur disk at a second distance.
