Filed Away keeps the medical receipts behind the HSA strategy that only works if you keep the paperwork: pay out of pocket now, let the account grow for decades, reimburse yourself whenever you want. The IRS sets no deadline for that reimbursement. It does expect you to be able to show the records — sometimes many years later, long after the paper has faded.
