Remember the puzzle books on the rack at the corner five-and-dime? Five & Dime brings them back — cream newsprint pages, a pencil in your hand, and a crossword grid waiting to be filled in. It's a fill-in puzzle: every answer is already on the word list. Your job is to figure out where each word goes. The crossings are the clues — one word unlocks the next. WRITE IT IN BY HAND • On iPad, write letters right in the squares with your Apple Pencil — or your finger if you don't use a Pencil. Your handwriting is read on your device. • On iPhone, write each letter on a roomy writing pad, or switch to a keyboard if you'd rather type. • Scribble back and forth over a letter to erase it, just like real paper.
