FluidCalc is a rehydration calculator built upon World Health Organization (WHO) principles for the assessment and management of diarrheal disease in low-resource settings. Dehydration assessments are based on evidence-based dehydration scoring systems published in Lancet Global Health or the conventional WHO classification. The software provides recommendations for rehydration fluids and medications using methods published in Lancet Digital Health. FluidCalc is intended as a clinical decision-support aid and does not replace professional medical judgment. Healthcare providers remain the sole legally responsible parties for clinical decisions made while using the software.
