You are the Governor. The Republic handed you a charter, one frigate and a stretch of open water crawling with pirates. What you make of it is your term of office. Governor: Free Republic is a real-time naval strategy game. Found settlements on the islands, raise a fleet in their shipyards, and sink the raiders that come for your ports, then sail through the wreckage and bank the plunder before it drifts away. TAKE THE SEA Tap a ship and drag its course. Tap a pirate to lock on. Idle ships engage anything that comes near, so a patrol left in the right place is worth a hundred taps later.
