Hokusai’s Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, in the palm of your hand. ■ Touch and feel Hokusai’s world Trace the image with your finger and discover the details that reward a closer look: the ridgeline of Mount Fuji, the soft gradations of the sky, the bold composition, and the texture of the washi paper. Rather than viewing the work in a catalog or through museum glass, you can experience it up close with your own fingertip. The iPhone’s finely tuned haptics respond with a subtle pulse beneath your finger. It is a little different from simply looking. You touch the passion the artist poured into the work and feel it resonate. When that resonance reaches its peak, a crack runs across the screen, and the print shatters. It may surprise you the first time, but nothing beyond the image is broken. The shattered print then joins your Remembered Prints. ■ Collect all 46 views Every print added…
