About Hinge Harp: Pocket Synth

Hinge Harp is a pocket instrument designed for foldable iPhone. Fold it like a laptop, strum across the crease, and play chords on the pads below. Every note fits the key, so there are no wrong ones. FOLD IT AND PLAY On a foldable iPhone, the strum strip sits right in the fold. Hold a chord on the pads and run a finger across the crease to strum it. Stand the phone up the other way and the strip stands upright between your hands. ALWAYS IN KEY Pick a root and a scale: major and minor pentatonic, major, minor, Dorian, Mixolydian, blues or whole tone. The pads and the strip only play notes that belong, so anything you play sounds musical. Switch on chord mode and each pad plays a full triad. SHAPE THE SOUND Six sounds to start from: Dreamy, Punchy, Wobbly, Glassy, Warm bass and Retro. Drag the XY pad from dark to bright and from dry to wet, let it spring home, or draw a motion and it…
