About In Their Words: Family Stories
The stories your parents and grandparents tell are easy to lose. In Their Words makes it simple to sit down, ask, and keep the answer — in their own voice. A SCREEN MADE FOR THE PERSON TALKING One question in large type. One big record button. The question can be read aloud. Skip a question to leave it until after the fresh questions. Decline a question and it won't be suggested again. 309 QUESTIONS TO START FROM Ten decks written for this app — childhood, youth, work, love and family, home and places, values, hard times, joys, advice, and about you — in English and German, each with gentle follow-ups. Add your own questions and they wait for the next visit. WRITTEN DOWN ON THE DEVICE Recordings are turned into text on the device where it supports that language, so stories can be read and searched. Correct names and places freely; the recording itself is never changed. Nothing is sent…
