Janggi is Korea's national chess — and this is the friendliest way to learn it. Two armies of sixteen face each other across nine lines and ten ranks. The chariots rake open files, the cannons leap over a screen to strike, and the generals never leave their palaces. If you play chess you will feel at home in five minutes; if you don't, the built-in course will get you there anyway.
