Joey's Toy Drive

Joey's Toy Drive has collected new toys for Bay Area children since 2012, when eight-year-old Joey Childs started the drive in his San Jose neighborhood. Today it is a holiday tradition carried by local businesses, schools, and neighbors, and it is still run entirely by volunteers. Each season, companies, schools, and community groups across the Bay Area host toy drives of their own. Our volunteers bring them collection boxes, come back once the boxes are full, and organize every toy by age so local nonprofits can share them with the families they serve before Christmas. None of it happens without our volunteers, and this app is where our volunteer team comes together.
