金継 KINTSUGI

Every break. A new beginning. KINTSUGI is a one-thumb arcade game about mending broken pottery with gold. Trace the glowing seams as the shards drift back together, dust them with gold, polish them to a shine, and watch a centuries-old bowl come back whole, more beautiful for having broken. MEND WITH ONE THUMB • Swipe through each lit seam in time. Strike early for a Crisp hit, chain your strikes and set off Golden Time. • Fill chipped gaps, seat staples in imported wares, and borrow a shard from another vessel. • Finish every piece by dusting and polishing the gold. • Pick it up for a minute, or mend as far as three drops of lacquer will take you. A COLLECTION WITH A HISTORY • Raku, Shino, Oribe, Arita, Kutani, Bizen and imported Karamono, each kiln with its own forms, glazes and stories. • Give your finest pieces a name, set them in your alcove, and watch for rare kiln transmutations.…
