About Kvadrat Six
Your medium format body has no meter. Or the prism that came with it died in 1997. Kvadrat Six turns your phone into a light meter built for the way you actually shoot. Set your film speed, tap measure, and get your EV reading along with an aperture and shutter pairing you can dial straight into your lens. Built for medium format — recommendations favor shutter speeds fast enough to hand-hold a heavy body with a slapping mirror. Apertures run through f/45, because medium format lenses stop down further than 35mm glass. Real stops — every value lands on a stop your lens can physically dial. No f/6.3 when your barrel only clicks at f/5.6 and f/8. ISO and EI — set box speed or rate your film wherever you want it, in third-stop increments. How it works — Kvadrat Six uses reflected metering through your phone's rear camera. Point it at your scene the way you'd aim a reflected-light meter.…
