Lantern: Light in the Dark

The sun went out long ago. Ash and shadow swallowed the world, and the last lantern burns in your hands. Its flame is your life, and every step drains it. In the dark, platforms, spikes and drops only appear when you get close. Trigger a flash to light the area for a few seconds, hold ghostly bridges in place, push shadows back before they close in. Fire is both tool and companion: ignite torches to create refuges where the lantern slowly refills, burn through thorns, open doors that only unlock for those who can pay in flame.
