Euchre the way it gets played at the kitchen table. Four players, two teams, ten points to win, and a jack that outranks the ace. You and your partner sit across from each other against two opponents. Someone names trump, everyone plays five cards, and taking three tricks takes the hand. Take all five and it is a march. Think your hand is strong enough on its own, go alone and play it out for four. Every game is stick the dealer. If the bidding comes back around and nobody has called, the dealer has to pick a suit. Nobody talks their way out of a bad hand. THREE OPPONENTS WORTH PLAYING Easy leads its best card and hopes. Medium bids sensibly and covers its partner. Hard keeps track of what has been played, saves the right trump for the trick that decides the hand, and knows when your partner has already won it.
