Local Gravity

Discover how gravity changes depending on where you are on Earth and where the objects around you are in space. Gravity shows your local gravitational environment using your location, including latitude, longitude and altitude. Explore how Earth’s gravity varies across the planet and see the gravitational influence of the Moon, Sun and other celestial bodies. Interactive visualisations make the numbers easier to understand. See where you are on Earth, where the Moon and Sun are relative to you, and follow the direction of their gravitational pull. Explore: • Your local gravity based on latitude and altitude • Your position on Earth • The Moon’s gravitational influence on you • The Sun’s gravitational influence on you • Distances to celestial bodies • Gravity vectors and their directions • Earth’s gravity field • Tidal effects caused by the Moon • Day and night in relation to the Sun •…
