Losts Signals Line

Losts Signals Line is a quiet instrument disguised as a game. You are a signal hunter working alone across six abandoned scientific sites. Each one occupies its own slice of the radio spectrum, from long-wave beacons buried under polar ice to S-band carriers still arriving at a decommissioned deep-space node. Your only tool is a receiver: a large frequency dial you turn with your thumb, a bandwidth control, a noise reduction control, and a spectrum analyser that tells you when something is out there. Nothing announces itself. Signals are found by noticing, not by being told. A physical-feeling dial with fine haptic ticks while tuning and a firmer pulse as a carrier approaches. Live waveform and spectrum displays react to whatever is under the cursor. Narrow the bandwidth to isolate a weak carrier, then trim noise reduction until the signal separates from the floor.
