Lugwise: Drum Tuner & Pitch

Tap near a tension rod, and Lugwise tells you which way to turn it. Every drum tuner shows a number. Lugwise shows the head. The ring is your drum seen from above — one node for every rod — and it fills in as you go: green where a lug is in, blue where it is flat and needs tightening, orange where it is sharp and needs loosening, with the cents beside each. The rod to tap next is marked, in the cross pattern every tuning guide teaches. When the last lug lands, the head reads Even. EDGE FOR LUGS, CENTRE FOR THE NOTE A light tap near a rod rings the lug tone. One hit in the middle rings the drum's note, shown big enough to read from across the room and checked against the target you set: Tighten, Loosen or In tune, to the cent.
