M2IAB Orbit Jumper

Space is not a shooting gallery. It is a set of rails, and the rails are gravity. M2IAB Orbit Jumper is a deterministic orbital-combat roguelike. Every planet, moon and star rides a real Kepler orbit at a fixed 60 Hz, so getting anywhere means finding a transfer and hitching a ride. Burning in a straight line only empties what you are carrying. REAL SPACE, AT ITS REAL SIZE. Ships are metres long beside planets and suns thousands of kilometres across. Four zoom scales sit over the camera pad: SHIP, SYSTEM with every orbit traced, and the GALAXY and UNIVERSE jump maps. Brown dwarfs, white dwarfs, red giants and binary stars fill the sky, and stars act like stars: black holes tear by tide, neutron stars pulse, red dwarfs flare after a warning, and a blue giant can go supernova.
