Manafell Cairn

The moon over the fjord is thinning, because the signs that held it up fell into the water. You keep the cairn on the headland. Signs rise out of the black water toward a halo of lantern light, and each one asks a different thing of your hands: a Wane Glyph takes a single tap, a Deep Glyph wears a ring that has to be pressed and held until the ring closes, and a Hollow Shard has to be left alone entirely. Three wicks burn in the lantern. One goes out when a sign escapes past the halo, one goes out when you touch a shard, and a Hearth Glyph caught in time puts a wick back. Inside one watch the moon turns four times, and the rules turn with it. Waxing is plain reading. Full drives everything faster and lifts your Chant Verse a rung, so clean catches start paying double, triple, quadruple.
