Media Recorder

Record a thought, a lecture, a practice session or a moment on video, keep notes and sketches with it, and keep all of it on the phone that captured it. Press record and it starts: elapsed time on screen, the file growing beside it, and a live trace driven by the microphone itself — so a recording made against a muted or refused microphone shows as silence while you can still do something about it. Pause and pick the thread back up. Mark a moment as it happens and find it again on the waveform. A session that captured nothing is thrown away rather than filed. Audio is written uncompressed, at 44.1 kHz, as a plain WAV, so the waveform is the real shape of the recording, the trim cuts where you asked, and a join is a join rather than a re-encode.
