Weight of steel and metal profiles, worked out on the spot. Pick a profile, pick a material, type the dimensions. You get the weight of one piece, the weight of the whole batch, the weight per metre, the surface area for painting or galvanising, and the price if you enter a rate per kilo. WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM IPE, HEA, HEB, UPE, UPN and equal angles are taken from the EN 10365 and EN 10056-1 tables. Those are exact. Everything else is worked out from geometry. That ignores corner radii, so a rolled section lands within roughly 1-3 % of the real figure. The app always tells you which of the two it used, so you are never left guessing.
