Raise your wrist and the list is already drawn: conditions come from cache and carry their age, so you are never waiting on the network to see something. The refresh follows. TIMED TO THE OBSERVATIONS, NOT A CLOCK Routine METARs are issued once an hour, most US fields between :53 and :56Z. METAR Maid checks just after that, and again at :35 to catch a SPECI - issued precisely because conditions changed.
