About Mímir: Private Vault
Mímir is a private vault for your iPhone. Keep photos, videos and notes where only you can see them: no accounts, no servers, no analytics. A DIFFERENT KIND OF LOCK You don't type a passcode: you find your 4 pairs of Norse symbols on a board of 36 runes that shuffles every time you open it. Then Face ID or Touch ID confirms it's you. After three wrong attempts, the board locks for one minute. Your data is never erased for failing. EVERYTHING ENCRYPTED • Photos and videos are encrypted with AES-GCM before they're stored, thumbnails included. • The encryption key lives in your iPhone's keychain and is released only with your biometrics. • Leave the app and Mímir locks itself, and the app switcher never shows your content.
