Monolog: Backcountry Trail Log

Monolog is a hiking journal that lives on your phone. No account, no cloud, no data collection and no feed to check. The trips build themselves. Point Monolog at the photos you already took and it reads the dates and locations saved with them, groups a day's pictures into a single hike, and fills in where you were and when. Anything it gets wrong, you correct. That's the whole loop. If you carry a watch or a GPS app, import the GPX or FIT file and Monolog draws your route and pins each photo where it was taken along the way, distance and elevation included. If you don't, the trip still stands on its own. You can add the numbers by hand, or leave them out. What Monolog doesn't do: No account and no log-in. It works the first time you open it. No profile. There's no identity to maintain. No live GPS recording. The numbers come from your photos and files afterward, not from a phone burning…
