A small thirst. A big house. You enter through an open window. The house is older than the family inside it, and sleeping people fill its rooms. You are too small to see the house as they do. You find another way through it: follow breath in the dark, trace warmth beneath blankets, and learn which rooms are safe. Piece together the secrets left behind. The people inside follow their own routines. They sleep, wake, and wander. Watch long enough and the house becomes a puzzle. Move at the wrong moment and you become the prey. Find a heartbeat and feed to survive. Every pulse brings more blood and more danger. Stay too long and the thing beneath you wakes. Be gone before they wake.
