June 19, 2029: the morning a mountain railway turns one hundred. Ai, an apprentice woodblock printer, arrives at the workshop to find the door shut, a note from her master, and a single carved block. "Collect the eight blocks and print at Kawaguchiko." Rain clouds hide Mt. Fuji from everywhere. From Otsuki up to Kawaguchiko: eighteen stations and a climb of 499 meters.
