Someone picks a number. You have to find it. That part is easy — so every challenge takes something away. Mines sit on the numbers a careful player would try next. A few numbers are shown to you for six seconds and then forbidden. Your own guesses get masked, so the search has to stay in your head. And in some challenges the board lies about what you played.
