About NoiseSnap - Noise Meter
NoiseSnap estimates ambient noise from the device microphone. Measurement data stays on this device. Audio recordings are saved only when you enable recording in Settings, and remain on this device only. Values are for reference only and are not a certified sound level meter. Do not use them for medical or safety decisions. Accuracy can be affected by phone cases, wind, covering the mic, Bluetooth headsets, and device orientation. Microphone access is used to compute live decibel estimates and, if enabled, to save a local recording. Noise threshold exceeded — Reduce exposure or move to a quieter area. Relative analysis — not A-weighted (not dBA). Recent seconds in memory only — relative log scale, not dBA. Saves a local WAV with the session. Off by default. Never uploaded.
