About OpenTan
OpenTan is a board game for two to six people sharing one iPhone or iPad. You settle an island, collect brick, lumber, wool, grain and ore from the tiles you build beside, trade for whatever you are short of, and race the rest of the table to ten victory points. Everything happens on the device in front of you. No sign in, no server, no adverts, no in app purchases. The app never touches the network. HOW A GAME GOES Everyone places two settlements and two roads to open. After that a turn is short: roll the dice, collect from every tile showing that number, then build, trade and play a development card in any order. Roads cost brick and lumber. Settlements add wool and grain. Cities take grain and ore and pay double from then on. The development deck holds knights, free roads, a windfall from the bank, a monopoly on one resource, and hidden victory points. Roll a seven and nobody…
