Ordino – Swedish dictionary

The best advice you can give a child is a good vocabulary. Ordino is a Swedish dictionary for anyone who reads a word and doesn't know what it means. The app is in Swedish only. Your child types the word roughly the way it sounds, for example "sjärna" or "sykel", and Ordino still finds it. First comes an explanation in simple words, then the dictionary's own text. Everything can be read aloud. Every word your child looks up goes into Mitt ordförråd (My vocabulary). There your child practises in a small game: the explanation shows with the word taken out, and your child drags the right word into place. The words come back after 1, 3 and 7 days until they stick.
