Palmas: Flamenco Metronome

Palmas is a flamenco metronome that plays the compás the way it is really played — with palmas claras and sordas, pitos, nudillos, cajón and jaleos, rather than a click. Choose from more than 50 palos and regional styles: soleá, bulerías de Jerez, Utrera, Lebrija and Cádiz, alegrías and cantiñas, tangos, tientos, siguiriya, fandangos, sevillanas, rumba, farruca, guajira, tanguillos and many more. Each has its own accents and count-in, and a short description with a link to read further. SEE THE COMPÁS Follow the rhythm as a line of dots, a counter or a clock face. The compás keeps showing where the beat falls, so you count through the gap: silence beat 10 and find out whether you still arrive on 12.…
