Pewter Brood

Pewter Brood is a 1980s pocket LCD game found in a farmhouse drawer. Eggs roll down four ramps from the henhouse, and your keeper swings the basket to catch every one before it reaches the end. THE HANDHELD IS THE MENU The whole app lives inside a graphite handheld with screws, bevels and red rubber keys. Move the blinking cursor with the D-pad, press A to select, B for the guide and START to jump straight into a game. Or just tap a line on the screen. CLASSIC LCD PLAY • GAME A: a gentle start with up to three eggs on the ramps. • GAME B: a faster start with up to four. • Four catch keys, or tap a corner of the screen to turn the keeper. • The game speeds up every 10 points. • Three misses end the game, and every 200 points wipes your misses clean, just like the old handhelds. • Fair by design: two eggs never reach the end on the same tick, so every egg can be caught. • A missed egg…
