Play.md

Point Play.md at a folder of Markdown (.md) text files, and it treats them as a playlist you can listen to on the go using your iPhone's text-to-speech. The app is at its best as a companion to your Obsidian notes, letting you listen to articles saved with Obsidian Web Clipper. I made it as a simple replacement for the now-discontinued Pocket app's Listen feature, to get through my daily reading while cycling or at the gym. Play.md saves your reading list in the app so you can listen or read offline. You can also highlight articles and choose a light, dark or low-contrast grey reading mode. Make sure you download a better-quality voice on your iPhone: go to Settings → Accessibility → Read & Speak → Voices, choose a language, then download an Enhanced or Premium voice. On older iOS versions, look for Spoken Content instead of Read & Speak.
