It keeps one exact puff count for every inhaler and reminds whoever is on duty when a dose is due — so nobody has to ask "did you already give it?" again. WHY COUNTING PUFFS MATTERS A metered-dose inhaler keeps spraying long after the medicine is gone. The propellant still fires, so the puff looks and sounds completely normal even when there is no actual dose left. The only reliable way to know how much medication remains is to count every puff — and counting by hand across two or three caregivers falls apart fast.
