PxlDay is a camera for a daily art practice. “Sometimes the biggest obstacle to making art is the expectation that it has to be successful.” PxlDay offers a simple structure for making photographs regularly. Working with a limited grid gives you a way to concentrate on color, light, and composition without expecting a finished work each day. The camera begins with a single pixel. Its resolution increases on each day you take and keep a photograph. Early photographs are simple blocks of color. As you continue, the camera can record more detail. Each saved photograph stays at the resolution it was taken. You can keep one photograph per day. If you miss a day, you continue from the same resolution when you return.
