Pymote is a remote control for Mopidy — not a music player. Your music never plays on your iPhone or iPad. It plays on your own Mopidy server, straight into the DAC and hi-fi system connected to it. Pymote is the remote: browse your library, pick an album, control playback and see exactly what your DAC is receiving, from the couch. What you need: a Mopidy server on your home network (Mopidy 4 with its HTTP frontend), ideally with Mopidy-Local for your own files and Mopidy-Tidal for streaming. No server yet?
