Raindeeep: Almabtrieb

Almsommer is a calm, turn-based season strategy game about running a Tyrolean summer pasture. It is made for people who hike up to the Almhütten every summer, who stand in the village street in September when the decorated herd comes down, and for anyone who loves alpine life. You are the Senner or Sennerin. Your herd of named Milchkühe, Jungvieh and Kälber has just arrived for the Almauftrieb in early June. The summer runs week by week until the Almabtrieb in mid-September, fifteen turns in one evening. Each week you drag the groups of your herd onto the Koppeln of the alm. Every paddock shows how tall its grass is, how rich it is in herbs, and the one hazard it hides: a steep gully, a lone tree or a boggy corner. The forecast tells you what is coming. Fog makes gullies dangerous, a Gewitter draws lightning to the lone trees, and late snow drives the herd down from the high ground.…
